Ah, final post before moving to the new one...
Neil, I saw a rumor about Good Omens online that I find highly
suspect, and rather than cause any panics or pointless speculations I
thought I'd just ask...
Has anything untoward happened with the Good Omens film?

This really has become the topic that doesn't die -- Son of the Bride
of Topic 73 has once more Risen from the Grave...

We've been 73, 104, 115, 125 and now 144. Not that I'm complaining.

Madman--Congratulations! I meant to say that last night, but
obviously was too goofy.

Neil--I *love* the story on the journal about the women on the plane.
Good on you!

        Hey, Neil's a palindrome!

bay area gang - Story night sounds fab! I'm up for it. Actually, it
reminded me of something I was trying to do at Burning Man (and it WILL
happen this year, dag nabbit!) - one night during the week, inviting
anyone who wanted to share stories, be they Neil stories or no, by
lantern light, in my tent (decorated like something out of Faerie that
had been dragged into the desert) on soft cushy pillows, until we got
tired or bored or what have you. Costumes encouraged. Somehow I think
this sort of thing would be much more comfortable away from the dust
and with the comforts of things like couches and electricity! :)

Linda - Ants suck. I've only had a few minor threats of ants here (I
think they fear my boots), but spiders. Well, they're no Huntsmen, but
when they crawl up out of the bathroom drain by the half-dozen...
shudder. I hope the ants go away for you. They are a pain.

Neil - (re:Lafferty) <<<<hugs>>>>

madman - YAY! Go employment! woo hoo! (doing the happy dance - mostly
I'd be doing it any way because I'm in a sort of strange mood, but it's
always better to have an excuse, especially when it involves the
happiness of others)

Neil & Maure - (waves hello) How's Texas?

squeaks, who is very aware she'll be surrounded by gamer geeks by the
hundreds tomorrow, but going to San Jose any way.

I don't think we need to worry about the URL too much (it's basically
just neilgaiman.com).

We passed the man with the cross too. "He does it every easter," said
the driver. "Hauls it across the country." I didn't know whether the
country was texas or the US.

in haste and in texas

n

Forgot to mention this, because, well, I forgot. We flew into Houston
and rented a car to drive to College Station. I love driving, and was
excited to drive in a state to which I've never been, but didn't want
to drive all the way from IL. Anyway, on the way to CS, we saw a man
walking along the side of the road, with a huge, and I mean monstrous,
wooden cross over one shoulder. It was completely surreal and somewhat
disturbing.
