Last night's show at the GAMH

A great evening, with the highest point (in my opinion) being "Blues for
Allah" by Henry Kaiser, Bob Bralove, Michael Manring and Scott Amendola

I've launched a Kickstarter campaign to get my CD of Grateful Dead songs into
the world.

Studio recordings of Grateful Dead songs in my "solo electric" style.

I made my Kickstarter goal today, a mere five days into the campaign!

But I am still looking for support. The actual budget for the record is
several K higher than I asked for. This was because (a) I wanted to keep the
Kickstarter ask in some reasonable range, and (b) I was expecting to net
$9000 from the sale of a Jim Marshall photo. I made a deal with the State of
New Mexico (!) which wanted to acquire it; I even signed some papers. But
it's been a couple of months and that check has not arrived.

So: order your overpriced autographed CD and help me make this a profitable
project! <https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dgans/its-a-hand-me-down>

My Kickstarter campaign is still open for business, and I am still looking
for support even though we have hit the stated goal. The actual budget is
significantly higher than the amount I requested, and I really want to do
this record up right.

$25 gets you an autographed CD, $15 gets you digital downloads, and there are
other options that include a T-shirt, an EP of original material, etc.
Thank you for your support!!

David, if you ever have a hankering these days to play the authentic
Old Southwest (i.e., Tucson), I can introduce you to the program
manager at Hotel Congress -- the place for smaller audiences and the
outdoor patio -- a future family member (post my forthcoming
marriage). David (him) also advises on booking at the Rialto
Theater, the midsize downtown venue where big acts play for always
appreciative audiences. Drop me a line.

I played the Rialto a few years ago, on the bill with a touring band. The
Congress sounds more my speed.

I'm booked at the Boondicks Lounge with Top Dead Center next February 13.
That's my only Tucson visit for the known future.

Thanks for thinking of me!

THanks! Came in at more than 150% of what I asked for! Enough to do the job
right!

Just got back from an insane mission: Drove from Oakland CA to Boulder CO in
a day and a half, mastered the CD with the great Dave Glasser at Airshow, and
then drove back to Oakland! 2500 miles in four days!

Dude, don't let it go to your head. We'll still give you a hard
