I got my new Mario DeSio acoustic guitar a few days ago, and I took it into
the studio this week to check it out. The result is an acoustic trio
recording of "Pancho and Lefty" with a nice jam at the end. Jeff Hobbs
on cello, Joe Kyle, Jr (The Waybacks) on bass.

It was. It was also video-recorded (we can't say "filmed" or "taped" any more
 :^) by a Dutch documentarian.

Is he still writing that opera and living in Amsterdam?

Not living in Amsterdam, nor writing opera. He is doing a project in
Amsterdam, involving orchestral type instruments. Listen to the last
10 minutes of the broadcast and you'll hear a bit of discussion and music.

There are some vocals, biut I don't think it's anyth9ing like an opera.

- Gold Tooth Woman (Words: Tennessee Williams, Music: GM w/ quintet)
- Michigan Water Blues (JR Morton, w/ quintet)
- The Frog (Written by GM, w/ quintet)

I'm running an Indiegogo campaign to finance completion of a new studio
album.

-music/x/1623294#/>

Basically, contributing amounts to pre-ordering a download ($15), a signed CD
($25), or a package of both those items plus a bonus disc of alternate takes
and demos ($100).

I'm about a third of the way to my goal. I'd aprpeciate some help!
