        Same here.  Sorry  I was out of town for the last week or so of it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While out of town, I picked up a copy of &amp;quot;Science Digest&amp;quot; from May
1944 at a used bookstore.  What should be on the inside front cover but
a story headlined &amp;quot;New Hope for Short People&amp;quot;!  It was a capsule
summary of an article from Science about the &amp;quot;isolation of the
growth-stimulating hormone from the pituitary gland&amp;quot;.  Despite the
headline, the story did not get into details about who might &amp;quot;benefit&amp;quot;
from this discovery.
