Amy Berger wrote a very brave piece about her late grandmother in the San
Jose Mercury News:

<http://www0.mercurycenter.com/premium/arts/docs/berger.htm>

        Amy will be featured on CNNfn's "Business Unusual" on August 11th, at 8:30
pm EDT, 5:30 pm PDT. If anyone can tape this and send me a copy, I would
greatly appreciate it, as our cable system doesn't carry CNNfn.

        It went quite well - the host is interested in bringing her back for another
interview with some other guests. It tended toward the more serious
aspects, rather than humorous, and she managed to 'zing' Amy with a question
or two regarding the differences in compensation packages between men and
women (men's had traditionally been more likely to include stock options;
women's less so until recently).

Amy sounded so smooth and professional that I didn't recognize her at
first!

She's also conducting a writing workshop at Barnes and Noble in Fremont
tonight, for a writer's group that meets there about once a month.

        It's a bay area station; their studio is down near the San Jose airport. I
had some trouble picking them up last night when I was in Pleasanton, but
they came in fine on the bay side of the hills.
