Sounds like you have some fun ideas for games. We have played a few
creative games here before, that's for sure!

You know, you might want to bring this idea up in the Writers
conference.
The folks who hang out there seem like a likely group for a try-out.

Good luck!

Cynthia

On Wed, 11 Apr 2007, Elisabeth Roche wrote:

> Elisabeth,

        from revbilly.com

The Rapture Interruptus Revival
April 26 - May 1 In Northern California

The fundamentalist plan * "The Rapture" * is now in progress. People are
vanishing, yanked up into another world. These believers are disappearing
into SUV's, idling between super malls. They believe, though, with the
Playstations in their dashboards, that their Ford Expeditions are climbing
straight up cliffs and jumping fjords and running with wolves. That's
Heaven's final ad campaign: Consumers on pixilated interstates up Mount
Everest. Those of us left behind will die in the Hell and rising Floods of
the over-heating planet.

Children, welcome to the The Rapture Interruptus Revival - we shall hit the
Rapture right where it hurts. We shall slam the Rapture into Reverse. We
shall sing "Stop Shopping" between the consumer and the car * catching them
in the Parking Lot Of No Return. We plan a new kind of performance art, a
curving choreography designed for on-ramps. Exorcisms of Bad Traffic are now
being taught in 24 hour all-night shifts at the Slow Consuming School of
Divinity*

--WE RELY ON WORD OF MOUTH! PLEASE FORWARD TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN THE BAY

Not quite a tour, sort of like an event...

Starting January 30, author David Shenk will be joining us in Inkwell.vue to
delve into the difficult and distressing subject of Alzheimer's, and to
discuss his best-selling book, "The Forgetting -- Alzheimer's: Portrait of
an Epidemic." If you want a preview of what we'll be talking about with
David, check this out:

On Wednesday evening, January 21, PBS will air "The Forgetting" -- a
documentary on Alzheimer's inspired by author David's book of the same name.

Of the documentary, David says, "It's a very powerful film that puts most of
its focus on the experience of families dealing with Alzheimer's. There's
also a taste of the history and a little bit of science woven in."

It'll show at 10 p.m. Pacific Time on KQED, San Francisco, and will air
again the following Sunday, January 25, at noon.

The show airs on the east coast at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

For those of you in other time zones, check your local PBS schedules:

http://www.pbs.org/tvschedules/

I don't think my daughter has heard that, <vard>. And when she does,
she'll be out of Portland faster'n a Boggsie line drive. Sephora is the
queen of her dreams (and the dark blot upon my credit card).

<ohmy>, I'll be seeing you at the San Francisco reading. Let's talk a
bit afterward if you've got the chance, eh?
