There are multiple versions of the beverely hillbillies song kicking around the web these days, I hear. At Salon's Table Talk there's a White House folder thread with Burma Shave slogans and a few other cool To The Tune of instructions... Someone did "we're poor little chad who've gone astray..."

Right now the issues of counting, of a tie (statistical or literal... if there is a such thing as a litteral tie with couting uncertainties) and of living under the shadow of demanding a recount look like they will be of interest for a while.

A song with the chorus "Recount This" might even work, from a partisan or a duel or a jaded neutral point of view.

What's out there? Has anybody recorded anything brilliant yet? [Read entire topic]

Dave, I like your idea a lot. With your permission I'd like to tinker with it a bit. Alan T. plays a mean guitar and I think would do a great job with it. I might need a week or so to work on it (especially to see what will happen with this race, if it's over by then). But if we got something together used it, you'd certainly get the credit.
