something you just never happened to notice before
The difference between "deft" and "daft" is but a single letter.

The term "fashion journalist" can spawn marvelous debates.
In precipitous response to the above, the word "fashionista" sprang
into my head unbidden.

i know this belongs in the Free Association,
but from "fashionista", I was led to a very old image (which I
happened to see in a Catholic Church today) that still crops up
innocently in some places, regardless of incidental connection with
recent history: that of sheaves of wheat bound together, and looking
very much like the 'fasces' of rods, symbol used Rome for power, and
later to be exploited by fascistas
Natural disasters are not really acts of G-d.
One is more often entitled to an opinion than to
the wherewithal upon which to base an informed one.

Other people's children are never as wonderful as your own.
Satire is frequently mistaken for insincerity.
This is an understandable error.
I like women too much to always be thinking about sex.
Others are responsible

for my foolish opinions regarding them.

If you will believe it, some one will state it with an air of
confidence and authority.
Those who dominate conversations have no secrets.
If you come to learn already sure you know it all then you won't.
A billion or more years of parallel evolution (since the inception
of sexual reproduction) have made men and women complementary, but
not necessary always mutually comprehensible.
I lay the reason for this at the fact that guys have nonworking
nipples.

> not necessary always mutually comprehensible.
A few years ago I read my wife a selection from Dr. Deborah Tannen's "You
Just Don't Understand". When I said "See, it's not just me", she replied,
with perfect timing: "Men! You're *all* inferior."
> nonworking nipples
Not always the case, so I hear.
nonworking but not nonworkable
Being entitled to an opinion does not mean being entitled to respect
for holding it, nor for the opinion itself. It means you have the
right to be wrong.
