I'll start, what the heck:

Here's my Well bio:

That's pretty darn short.  My original bio in 1999 was more chatty;
not a whole lot has changed since then.  I'm in public radio, doing
news and hosting a weekly public affairs show.  My husband and I have
been married since '87, living together since '82.  We have three cats,
and a 1923 cottage that will apparently be a work in progress till
death do us part.  He's on the Well, too.

I'm a native of South Bend, Indiana. My luck in hometowns has spiraled
steadily upward since then! - six years in Hawaii with <zent>, and now
happily San Franciscan.  God, I love this place!

My name is Cindy Myers.  I've been on the Well since 1994 and enjoy both the
banter and the meaty conversations that happen there.  I have also met some
of my dearest friends there and consider the people I meet here a big part
of my life.

I'm recently (a year ago) out of a longterm relationship, so I'm rattling
around getting used to being single at 45, watching my former partner's and
my son go off to Europe for a semester -- his first away from home, writing
my doctoral dissertation and chasing after women.  What on earth more could
there be to say?

I'm Jacob, and I've been on the Well since 1996.  I try not to be really
annoying.  I live in San Francisco now and have for the last four years,

 I'm Wolfy, the janitor around these parts.  I can be found pretty much all
 over the system, though I'm most visible in <welltech.>, <spam.>, <nw.>,
 <gay.>, <mac.>, <news.>, <sports.>, <weather.ind.>, and <words.>

 I've been on the Well since 1990, and have been employed full time by them
 since '94 (I think).  Though the offices are down in San Francisco, I live
 and work in Anchorage, AK as a full-time telecommuter.

I'm David.  I can be found in various Well hangouts, such as <words.>,

<ebay.ind.> because Angie twisted my arm and threatened to release
incriminating videos and dvd's to major press outlets that would have proven
embarrassing.  Not that I'm easily embarrassed.

I'm a Bostonian but I learned how to pronounce the letter "R".  You couldn't
know that in a text environment, so I thought I'd assert it up front.

Hi, my name is John, although I've been called quite a few things along
the way.  I've been on the WELL, mostly, since sometime in 1988, with a
couple of six-month gaps and about three more discontinuities having to 
do with account name changes.  ("satyr" I plan to keep)

I'm a cohost of the Energy (a.k.a. Power) conference, and host of
<augbot.ind.>, which is about robotics and augmentation -- an interest,
I'm no expert.

I've also dabbled in web page design and am currently studying the Cocoa
API for Mac OS X, with the intention of first using it to reimplement
the simulation at http://www.well.com/user/satyr/755/ratiokey.html as a

My name is Wally and I currently live in the District of Columbia,
where I am working in professional theatre in a variety of capacities
other than acting.  My participation in the Well ebbs and flows to
extreme degrees, but I can be counted upon, at the least, to
participate in <singles.> (which I co-host), <theatre.>, <sports.>,
where I regulate Yankee-haters, and a few private conferences. 
Currently there are 41 conferences on my conf-list, including <owl.>,
and I generally log in using the Web interface, Engaged.

I'm Melina and you will find me all over the dang place. I love the Well 
and have been here since 1993. That's longer than I've had any physical

I've been a WELL member since 1993, when I joined at the urging of my then-
journalism instructor (who's also on The WELL). My (cdb) login is the one I
use when I'm on duty here. If I'm not working, I'll probably be logged in as
