Mark Czarnecki, President of The Benchmarking Network, Inc., is an experienced study leader. His industry studies have focused on the areas of accounting, finance, treasury, maintenance, purchasing, distribution, logistics and warehousing. His healthcare work has included reviews of hospital admittance and resource utilization. His professional and consulting career has involved him in a number of industries including aerospace, pharmaceutical, healthcare, banking, financial services, oil & gas, utilities, retailing, telecommunications and consumer products.

He is the author of Benchmarking Strategies in Accounting & Finance published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Benchmarking Strategies For Healthcare Management published by Aspen Publishing. He has written numerous articles on the topic in journals such as Healthcare Financial Management and The CPA Letter. Other recent publications include Total Quality Management in Accounting and Finance and the book Reengineering Accounting and Business Processes.

Mark brings industry perspective to his studies. His background includes experience in corporate planning and computer systems roles with Alcon Laboratories, a major ophthalmic pharmaceutical company. His consulting career spanned two major international consulting firms, Price Waterhouse, and Booz-Allen & Hamilton.

Mark focused on his benchmarking specialty with an independent firm where he conducted benchmarking studies for the electric utility industry. His studies focused on the administrative and operational areas.
