After Tam I went to S. F.State and majored in theatre. I managed three
years and then realized I wanted the real thing. I worked The
Festival Theatre in San Anselmo for three years and then ACT in San
Francisco. I met Stephen at ACT and we slid down the map to LA in '69. I
got my BA in theatre from Cal State L.A. in ''72. My life was politics and
theatre--it was terrific. At the age of forty I needed a change. To my
amazement I became an English teacher. I love it , I love it--five shows a
day. Stephen decided to leave theatre and join me, so we are both high
school English teachers. We have two adopted girls. Both former students of
mine. Jenn(32) lives in Sonoma and is married to another former student.
They have a girl named Miranda!!!! Karla is 22 and is debating whether she
wants to finish her senior year at Swarthmore or live a miserable existence.
"We don't understand her!" Oh well... All in all, I'm pretty happy. I'm
doing my bit for humanity and that is important to me.
