The cabin is all on one floor. There is a large front room
that looks out on a meadow. Gunter is sitting at a big table unpacking
some books that have been in boxes since they moved here in October. Gwen
is working at a small table on one side of the room, beside a window
that looks into the woods.
It is a cold day in early spring. Winsock and Browser are curled up together on a large pillow in the corner of the room, near where Gwen is working.
The surveillance devices observing this scene are not visible.
It is time to put away the skis and the snowshoes for next winter. It is Gwen who tells it.
