CLASSES FOR CHILDREN:
Each class is 5 sessions long. Classes start the week of April 1 and
go through the week of May 4. Classes cost $90 per student. Limited
financial assistance is available.

PARADE THEATRE (ages 10 and
up) -- TUESDAYS 4:30-6:30 PM
We'll work on precision routines, comic parade formations,
largescale puppets and mask work. The class will work towards
performing a piece in the Street Festival Parade on Sunday May 6 as
part of Greenbelt's Artful Afternoon.
CLOWNING & PHYSICAL COMEDY
(ages 9-13) --WEDNESDAYS 4:30-6:30 PM
Come learn the ancient and honorable art of clowning. In a
safe and supervised environment, students will practice slaps, trips,
falls, classic clown gags, and eventually write and choreograph their
own routines. The class will culminate in a student-written
performance for friends and family.
TEEN STREET THEATRE (ages
13-17)-- THURSDAYS 4:30-6:30 PM
This class will focus on street theatre. The group will
learn improvisational exercises, do character acting exercises,
practice group theatre creation, and eventually write and perform
their own 10 minute street theatre piece. This piece will be featured
in the Street Performance Festival.

CLOWN INTENSIVE-- MASTER CLASS

A special master class for professional actors, clowns, and entertainers. The class will consist of intensive group exercises, individual work, and individual coaching on new material that you bring in to work on. Physical characterization, physical clarity, and physical creativity will be emphasized. Come prepared to work hard! The class size is intentionally small to maximize individual attention.
Adam is the artistic director, boss clown, and big cheese of the Acme Clown Company. He has over 15 years experience of directing, performing, and teaching in theatres, circuses, and schools across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
He has studied with many clown luminaries, including: Dario Fo, Lou Jacobs, Avner Eisenberg, Ctibor Turba, Bill Irwin, Fred Curchack, and Tony Montanaro. In 1998 he was the master clown teacher at the Institute of North American Culture in Santiago, Chile. He is the first Clown Laureate of Greenbelt Maryland.
