Judy & David--Gardening Phase 1.5, May 2003

These pictures show about three weekends of work on our xeriscape project, May 12-26, 2003.  We took out all the grass at our house that you can see from the street.

We had worked on this

part while the camera

was still in the shop.

We had also done a

lot of work in the back.

When our story began,

the front was still grass…

which was something

of a daunting prospect.

Judy did all the work, while I took pictures and drank lemonade (not shown.)

Notice the dead lawn.  This was done by black magic.

Boulder recycles yard trimmings into great mulch and gives it away.  I didn’t know what the box toward the lower left said until I looked at the picture later.

We had great transplanting weather.  It sprinkled and wet the flagstones.  There are about ¼ ton of new ones in this project.
