Professional and amateur artwork created from analog photography, hand drawn illustration, and digital graphics. My work is inspired by experiences, people, places, dreams, and process experimentation. My newest works will be represented here in the near future.
Chakra series
I am influenced by both the Mid-Eastern Indian and Chinese cultures that have exponentially populated the San Francisco Bay Area where I lived for 25 years. I have an appreciation for Chinese medicine and (non-native) Indian ideas of the energy systems of the human body. I also have a life-long fascination with Egyptian symbols and hieroglyphs. I combined multi-cultural visual elements to awaken the energies that these symbols represent, and to communicate the union of these cultural perspectives.

3rd Chakra
Manipura
The Solar Plexus Chakra, located between the sternum and the naval, also means City of sparkling jewels, lustrous jewel, or Seat of the Soul. The Color yellow and the element Fire/Sun, are associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra. It is the source of personal power, freedom, authority, self control/esteem, will power, personality, and the ego. It is the regulator of the skin, stomach, intestines, adrenal glands, pancreas, muscles, and nervous system. The Chinese symbol for will power is located near the top of the 10 pedal lotus.

6th Chakra
Anji
Known as the Brow Chakra, located between the brows, the third eye which represents intuition, clarity, insight, and creativity. The Color Indigo and the Element Light is associated with the Brow Chakra. The Egyptian Eye of Horus in the center represents light, the sun, and is the symbol of protection and the bringing of wisdom. The Chinese symbol for intuition is located on the inside top of the 2-pedal lotus.

Chicago Place
Downtown Chicago at Saks 5th Avenue. I loved the reflection off the windowed building.
Vietnam Wall

Vietnam Wall, Washington D.C.
The Vietnam Wall is an extremely moving art piece even if you did not know anyone who died in the Vietnam War. The reflection on the wall of the Washington Monument and the people visiting the wall touched my spirit and shook my soul. I photo enlarged the picture and it now adorns my wall. At a distance the reflections draw your attention; the names on the wall are more visible when you look at it upclose. Digital prints do not do this photograph justice...doesn't even come close.
Monument Valley Pano

Panoramic, Monument Valley, UT
Four scanned analog pictures of Monument Valley, Utah. Printed on a large-format HP printer, photographic paper. 36" x 64", mounted. The original was stitched in Photoshop on a 40-Hz Quadra 840AV that I bought in 1992. An extreme and painful lesson in patience and technology.
