This museum is dedicated to the children of the world, especially the abused, the neglected, the lonely, the sad, the homeless, the hungry. Treat children kindly, for the children of today will be the parents and teachers and leaders of tomorrow. How we treat the children of today will determine the future of our human race.

"Shining Out In Darkness"
Welcome, dear guest, to my museum! My name is Robbie Hatley, and the name of my museum is Midnight Moonlight Madness. For a information about me, see About Robbie Hatley and My On-line Résumé . For a brief history of Midnight Moonlight Madness, see About Midnight Moonlight Madness .
You may have noticed the motto engraved on the cornerstone of the building on your way in, right below the "Open 24 Hours" sign: "Shining Out In Darkness". This motto indicates my hope that this museum will be as a beacon of logic, sanity, compassion, and hope, shining out in the darkness of an often confused, insane, cruel, and desperate world. Such is my goal. As for what extent to which I've attained it, that is for you to judge.
To move around this museum, use the Navigation Bars at the top and bottom of each page to get to any of the seven main pages.
(Or if you prefer a graphical navigation aid, click the "Site Map" link at the top of any page on the site, to bring up the Site Map. This allows you to get to different parts of the museum by clicking rooms on a floor plan.)
Each of the seven main pages also has links going to still more pages. For example, "Poetry" has links to poems, and "Essays" has links to essays.
For technical information on this site (such as what browsers it works best on, and what technologies are being used) see Technical Notes.
(My other counter seemed terminally busted, so I moved my Nedstat counter up here. It's much more accurate, anyway.)
Midnight Moonlight Madness is permanantly under construction, and will definitely continue to grow and improve as time goes by. Stop by often and check out the changes!

I haven't posted any news here in over a year! (Last update was back in September of 2006.) Time to catch up a little.
On the job front, I've been working for too little money this year, about $17 per hour. Abysmal. I should really be making at least $25 per hour as a computer programmer. Time to get a new job, methinks.
On the home front, I'm still living in the same crumbly old apartment in East Tustin. My primary hobbies are the same: reading, surfing the 'net, computer games (esp. Toontown, Pardus, and SimCity4), discussion groups, talking with friends, bike riding, sometimes bowling, etc.
Financially, this year started bad, got worse, and then got MUCH worse. I'm finally getting things back under control, but it required cashing-in most of my 401K plan from my previous employer, to free up about $3400 in cash. (Of course, this involves massive taxes, early-withdrawl penalties, etc, but it's worth it to gain the liquidity that will allow me to pay my rent and bills.)
At the current moment, however, I'm struggling with a more-immediate problem: my mother and I have both contracted a gastro-intestinal virus which caused severe vomiting and diarhea. We're still struggling to control these symptoms. This virus seems to be spreading around California right now. If an acquaintance mentions digestive upset, stay away from them for the next 2 weeks! This virus is extremely contagious, it may be acquired by merely touching objects touched by an infected person, it has a very short incubation time of about 24 hours, and its effects are devastating; so watch out!
Somewhat-old news: I've added a page to my "Essays" section on Disney's highly-addictive online game, "Toontown Online". This is more of a reference document than an essay. It gives a lot of detailed data on in-game things. It's probably incomprehensible to someone who has never played this game, but once you start playing, it will make perfect sense. (To try-out Toontown, go to http://www.toontown.com/.)
New news as of Monday December 17, 2007: I just updated all of the email links on all of my pages to point back to the "Feedback" section on my main index page. They not only had the wrong address, but they all used live mailto hyperlinks, which just invites abuse by spambots and data harvesting scripts. So I replaced them all with links to my Feedback section, which includes a munged version of my current address.
That's all the personal and site news for right now, but check back later for more news.
Cheers,
