Midnight Moonlight Madness

Robbie Hatley, Curator

This museum is dedicated to the children of the world, especially the abused, the neglected, the lonely, the sad, the homeless, the hungry. Treat children kindly, for the children of today will be the parents and teachers and leaders of tomorrow. How we treat our children will determine the future of our human race.

We never close!

"Shining Out In Darkness"

§  Welcome!

Welcome, dear guest, to my museum! My name is Robbie Hatley, and the name of my museum is Midnight Moonlight Madness. For personal information about me, see About Robbie Hatley , and for a look at my "curriculum vitae" see My On-line Résumé . For a brief history of Midnight Moonlight Madness, see About Midnight Moonlight Madness .

You may have noticed the motto engraved on the cornerstone of the building on your way in, right below the "Open 24 Hours" sign: "Shining Out In Darkness". This motto indicates my hope that this museum will be as a beacon of logic, sanity, compassion, and hope, shining out in the darkness of an often confused, insane, cruel, and desperate world. Such is my goal. As for what extent to which I've attained it, that is for you to judge.

To move around this museum, use the Navigation Bars at the top and bottom of each page to get to any of the seven main pages.

(Or if you prefer a graphical navigation aid, click the "Site Map" link at the top of any page on the site, to bring up the Site Map. This allows you to get to different parts of the museum by clicking rooms on a floor plan.)

Each of the seven main pages also has links going to still more pages. For example, "Poetry" has links to poems, and "Essays" has links to essays.

§  Contact Information:

Feel free to email me any time, about any thing. I like email. (Real email, not spam or flames, please.) Tell me what you think about my website, or about me, or about you, or about life in general. Here's a gif picture of my email address (this isn't text, so you'll have to type it into your email client manually; this is necessary to stop spam):

lone wolf at well dot cee oh em

In case you want to send me a PGP-encrypted message, here is my PGP public key:

Or you can call me on my cell phone. Here's a gif picture of my phone number (you'll have to key it into your phone manually):

sven won for, six sven tree, for sven ate six

Or you can connect with me via IM, by appointment. Please contact me by email first, though, so we can exchange IM addresses, and I'll know to expect your friend request. I don't accept unsolicited IM friend requests because of spam. Also, I prefer email over IM for conversations, because email gives me time to arrange my thoughts and organize my replies, whereas IMs demand instant responses. So I mostly save IMs for exchanging files with people; the IM services (YIM, AIM, etc) are excellent for that.

§  News

Monday April 29, 2013:

Personal News:

I'm still coping with local social isolation here in Midway City, but I'm coming to think that this is likely going to remain this way for as long as I'm here. It's a very isolated neighborhood. Not much opportunity for socialization around here.

On the Internet, however, my social group has been continuing to grow. I've re-joined contact with a number of old friends from years or decades in the past, to a large extent due to Facebook's new "Graph Search" technology. (Try it, if you haven't already.)

I've also been working on practicing unremitting politeness in all communications, even with persons espousing positions which I'm strongly opposed to. Anger on the Internet just leads to ugly, stupid puss fights and accomplishes nothing good. This calmer approach on my part is mostly the effect of my friendship with a certain special person in my life, whom I met in November 2012 and fell in love with on December 21 2012. Thank you for being my friend and my kindred spirit, Kyo. I love you forever. Your kindness continues to have an enormous positive impact on my life.

That's all the news for right now; check back later for more.

Robbie Hatley,
Midnight Moonlight Madness
