This museum is dedicated to the children of the world, especially the abused, the neglected, the lonely, the sad, the homeless, the hungry. Treat children kindly, for the children of today will be the parents and teachers and leaders of tomorrow. How we treat the children of today will determine the future of our human race.

"Shining Out In Darkness"
Welcome, dear guest, to my museum! My name is Robbie Hatley, and the name of my museum is Midnight Moonlight Madness. For a information about me, see About Robbie Hatley and My On-line Résumé . For a brief history of Midnight Moonlight Madness, see About Midnight Moonlight Madness .
You may have noticed the motto engraved on the cornerstone of the building on your way in, right below the "Open 24 Hours" sign: "Shining Out In Darkness". This motto indicates my hope that this museum will be as a beacon of logic, sanity, compassion, and hope, shining out in the darkness of an often confused, insane, cruel, and desperate world. Such is my goal. As for what extent to which I've attained it, that is for you to judge.
To move around this museum, use the Navigation Bars at the top and bottom of each page to get to any of the seven main pages.
(Or if you prefer a graphical navigation aid, click the "Site Map" link at the top of any page on the site, to bring up the Site Map. This allows you to get to different parts of the museum by clicking rooms on a floor plan.)
Each of the seven main pages also has links going to still more pages. For example, "Poetry" has links to poems, and "Essays" has links to essays.
For technical information on this site (such as what browsers it works best on, and what technologies are being used) see Technical Notes.
Midnight Moonlight Madness is permanantly under construction, and will definitely continue to grow and improve as time goes by. Stop by often and check out the changes!

Feel free to email me any time, about any thing. I like email. (Real email, not spam or flames, please.) Tell me what you think about my website, or about me, or about you, or about life in general. Here's a gif picture of my email address (this isn't text, so you'll have to type it into your email client manually; this is necessary to stop spam):
In case you want to send me a PGP-encrypted message, here is my PGP public key: rh-public-key.txt.
Or you can call me on my cell phone. Here's a gif picture of my phone number (you'll have to key it into your phone manually):
Or you can connect with me via IM, by appointment. Please contact me by email first, though, so we can exchange IM addresses, and I'll know to expect your friend request. I don't accept unsolicited IM friend requests because of spam. Also, I prefer email over IM for conversations, because email gives me time to arrange my thoughts and organize my replies, whereas IMs demand instant responses. So I mostly save IMs for exchanging files with people; the IM services (YIM, AIM, etc) are excellent for that.
(I also used to have a guestbook on this site, but I removed it because the company that hosted it, Guestworld, got bought out by Lycos, which got bought out by Tripod; and Tripod is about to discontinue the service. So as of 2012-02-09, I've removed the guestbook. Please use email or phone instead.)
I'm changed my residence location from Stanton, CA to Santa Ana, CA. I'm still in a transitional housing program, this one not free (it's about $250/month). I doubt I'll ever be able to afford an apartment or house in this county again; the prices are already exorbitant and are continuing to skyrocket. Other counties or states are always a possibility, if I can find affordable housing and work within 30min bike ride of each other. (I don't drive, and I'm sick and tired of buses.)
In site news, I've removed by guestbook. I've always had problems with the guestbook host failing to notify me when people sign my guestbook, so it make take me months or years to read an entry; whereas my main email address I check daily. So please just mail me at "lonewolf (at) well (dot) com" to contact me. (See "Contact Information" section above for more contact options.)
That's all the news for right now; check back later for more.
Cheers,
Robbie Hatley,
Curator,
Midnight Moonlight Madness
