Cove Restaurant
This incredible restaurant has been  the
culinary star of west Cork for many a decade. The huge crystal
chandelier, seafood buffet, and grand piano filled with delicious
desserts, and a fine selection of local cheese make it a romantic
place to dine. Phillipe has been the meostro and the service
has always been excellent.. A
huge wood charcoal grill is used for all the meats. The kitchen
was set up for ease and flow of food preparation and pastry
making. Here you have just the right amount of space and incredible
beauty as the customers are always in awe of the view and
the fine food in front of them.
Bar and reception area 10x16 - You enter to the sound of a
water fountain outside the door. A cosy entrance - you feel
comfortable the minute you walk in the door.
Main Restaurant 18x50 feet - When you look into the grand
dining room with its 15 foot high windows overlooking open
green fields and the sea, it takes your breathe away. Massive
high ceilings with big beams, a stone fireplace that has a
huge open grill stands at the end of the restaurant. Stairs
go up to a landing with 2 bathrooms that are elegantly decorated.
Slate floors, a huge chandelier, and a grand piano set the
stage for elegant dining.
Commercial Kitchen 18x20 with cold room. This kitchen is well
laid out for a good flow in food preparation. Stainless steel

The Restaurant had originally been the stables. In the late
1700s the Blair family built this compound in a very grand
way. It has been occupied by the Blairs along with 1,145 acres
until 1866 when it was sold to Mr Henry Pope. Many distinguished
guests have been attracted to this beautiful site, including
Lt. Commander H. B Hunt and his wife Lady Ernestine Hunt daughter
of the Marquess of Ausbburg. It was stated that the Earl of
Shannon had taken it for the summer of 1900.
