Some typical questions and my very personal
answers.
This page is growing little by little
- How can I read Japanese
page?
- To read Japanese language in your display, some special
software are required. For Macintosh, "Japanese
language kit" is useful. But for Windows 95, there
is no good solution. An answer is to buy Japanese version
of Windows 95 :-P And a special software called Win-V
make it possible to display Japanese fonts. Plus for
browser, Netscape is able to any language intrinsically.

- Is Okinawan language
different from Japanese language?
- Essentially, yes. Okinawan language is the only sister
language to Japanese. Vise versa. But, some Japanese
nationalistic linguists think Okinawan as the dialect. If
it is true, French and Italian is the same language.

independent?
- Most of them nowadays say "No." This implies
very complex problems. So, it is so difficult to answer
shortly.

- No. But you know every community has few extreme.
Okinawans are so friendly to welcome all types of people.
One thing that seems to obstacle to the foreigner is the
family system. Traditional Okinawan family system is so
rigid. It is rather difficult to join the member of the
family.
- Do Okinawans hate Japanese?
- No. But some hate Japanese. One reason is that during
W.W.II, some Okinawans were killed by Japanese soldier
only by the reason Okinawan's language was different from
Japanese.

attitude against the Large nations.
- Was Okinawa the part of
China?
- No. China admit Okinawa (Ryukyu) as the one of friendly
nations. But some extreme Chinese think wrongly.
