A response to the Page from US base in Okinawa

I, Nobusasa Sato, received a response mail from an anonymous in US base in Okinawa. I appreciate the critics.

Here is the response mail.

Your page hasn't been updated to include the action taken by Military authorites, including the following:

1.) that the US Military transported the suspects DAILY to the local authorities for questioning.

2.) that the suspects were IMMEADIATELY turned over to the local authorities once the idictments were handed down.

3.) the Marines stopped all functions to hold intensive, comprehensive seminars and training sessions, for proper protocal and overbrief of local customs and sensitivities.

Your page, instead of helping, actually instigates improper feelings to the local people. You want understanding of your plight, you should recipricate with full, objective observations of BOTH SIDES OF THE ISSUE!!

My reply.

Dear Mr.login

Fist of all, I say thanks to your comments on my home pages. I appreciate your critics.

I stopped updating the page on the rape case. My intention is NOT accusing US forces, but reporting the case and pointing out how Japan the foreign minister Kono is against Okinawans . I think the task was finished.

You know a lot of Okinawans hate US forces and do something against them. But I am not that sorts. Again, my intention is NOT accusing US forces

Things you pointed out:

on 1, Yes. You are right. I would like to point out that as to many incidents caused by US servicemen in Okinawa, the suspects transport to the local authorities for questioning but so reluctantly, giving them some holidays. In this case, the US action was so quick that we appreciate the attitudes.

On 2, there remains some discussions. Yes, it was "IMMEADIATELY", but it must wait until the indictments are handed down. I mean it usually takes a rather long time. In some cases the delay gave them the time to escape out of Japan.

On 3, Yes. I should have mentioned.

Best regards with wish to say Hello to your name.

Mr. Sato,

The user that you are trying to reply to is not a user, yet a bogus account on our Home page that allows users to send messages to whomever. Mainly it is provided for feedback on our homepage if the user is not looking for a response.
