Dinner at the Plantation House Restaurant

zzzcat, a vegetarian, gets a custom appetizer of tempura'd tofu.


Cynthia, Jerry and I each get a plate of fresh ahi sashimi. On the left, the sashimi is lightly drizzled with a ginger, wasabi and shoyu dressing. The sashimi on the right has been stuffed with crab, then dipped in a tempura batter and lightly fried. It's served with a mustard/ginger sauce.


After we polish off a bottle of Veuve Cliqot, we move on to a 1999 Mer Soleil, perhaps the best Chardonnay I've ever tasted.
