This is one of the "Boneyard specials". Little chance of getting this one correct if you are not a bonyarder through and through. Being smart about basketball alone is not enough to get through life! Great game by the team and great all around game by Diana. the Waves never knew what hit them - a Tsunami maybe?

$200 - What happened at UConn versus Seton Hall February 2003

Another"Boneyard Special" This was one of the games that our own Nan had primo lower level seats and combined that view with her own recollect to give us some insightful descriptions of the action. She proclaimed that on one play Maria streaked down the court ahead of everyone for an easy layup. Just so happened that Biff had his camera at the ready on that same play and caught the moment - just as Nan described it (kinda)

C'mon who could forget that game and especially the finish of the first half. 65 feet if it was an inch and another dagger into Pat's heart. She will probably want to give Diana's commencement address if given the chance just to make sure she really leaves.
The photo also inspired a later Boneyard Magazine cover. (remember which one?)

$400 - Which recruits were watching  the Melbourne exhibition Game November 2003?

Doggydaddy got it correct that it was one of the exhibition games but guessed the wrong one. Funny now that you look at it, we were zero for three in this group. Good luck Kia.

$500 - Which Husky scored for UCLA at Gampel Pavilion, December 1999? (not sure of the year)

I may not be sure of the year but this was the game where Swin grabbed a board off a missed freethrow and nailed a 15 foot jumper. None of the UCLA players even tried to stop her -why should they? It was their basket she was shooting at! A classic moment in Husky history.

(The team (like most other teams) also adopted wearing the flag on the uniform (The USA flag) which she also needed to do. that's quite a lot to ask a young lady to go through don't you think?

Who started as the manager her freshman year, made the team as a walk-on her sophomore year and received three letters.

(Someone suggested that she may have received a scholarship her senior year but I don't know. If someone can confirm that I'd be interested because I do not know of a confirmed case where Geno has given a scholarship and if this is a case I'd like to know. The thing to takeaway from this one is let's treat our water girls well. They may be our next player!!!!)

(OK. this was for the di-hardest of di hards. Someone posted this on the boneyard a while back and I saved the picture. I never knew what I would use it for but I figured that only the person who posted it way back would probably get this one correct!!! Sorry - this was one of my "dirty ones"._

(Yup, Geno has had only one losing season since becoming head coach at UConn. His first season (1985 -1986) he had a 12-15 record.)

$300 - What are Levis 501 Jeans and the number of wins Geno has through 2002-2003?

(Geno now sits at a remarkable 501 wins against 99 losses. Need I say more?)

$400 - What is the most number of games played by the Huskies in one season?

(This was just dirty pool on my part. Of course everyone was going to jump on this with the obvious 39 wins in 2002. as correct as that was, I had another answer in mind. that's why I made rule number 4 after all - (rule 4: Even if the answer is right it's wrong if it's not the answer I want!!!.)
The answer I was looking for (and it is sneaky I know) is that 39 games is the most games ever played in one season by the Huskies! Sorry.)

(I though that this was going to yield bad guesses too but the correct answer is the most rings won by any Husky (so far that is) is two. The person who correctly answered listed out all the players names that had won two rings so I had to mark that one correct!)
