These soundings are at mean lower low water. The tide is at this level or lower about 4% of the time. Because of the solar and seasonal components of the tides, the extreme lows tend to miss the peak use hours of summer afternoons. Average year-round low tide water depth is 1.1 ft deeper than the soundings shown, and average water depth is 3.3 ft deeper than the soundings shown.
