Prints are produced using high resolution scans of original 35mm Kodachrome transparencies or b&w negatives. Two separate scanning devices have been used to date: ICG Drum Scan @5000dpi, and Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED scanner @4000dpi.

Each color digital print is produced to match the original Kodachrome transparency as closely as possible. Nothing is digitally added, significantly altered or taken away from the original Kodachrome image. Black & White photographs are frequently, but only modified by selectively editing the negative's image contrast.

Photographs are custom printed on Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster, Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl resin-coated papers or Moab Legion Paper Entrada Rag Natural 190, Canson Platine Fibre Rag archival papers to insure a reasonable display life without fading. The prints are created using the HPZ3100ps high quality photo printer and HP's Vivera archival inks.

Good, directed color neutral lighting is necessary for proper viewing and display of color prints. You might want to visit Bulbs.Com and order a Halogen light bulb for them, or pick one up locally. But the important point to note is that prints look best with good light.

For available images, a custom print will normally ship within two weeks of receipt of order payment. (Not all web images have digital printing files. Those may take longer to process.)

While providing a good reference, the JPG images on this website will not render the detail, or the exact colors and luminosity of the prints. We are sure that you will be pleased with the quality of the digital prints, and offer this return policy:

If you are dissatisfied for any reason, simply return the original print within thirty days for a full refund. Before doing so, please notify us first, and let us know of any problems with your print order.
