what? no Wesley Crusher?

2006 Hugo nominee John Scalzi has devised a list of the Top 50 Personal Blogs in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Honorable mention goes to Wil Wheaton. He didn't make the list.

guess who's blogging now?

Tree-killers like The Washington Post have good reason to fear the upstart Huffington Post website. Harry Shearer is an irregular contributor there. Nothing is regular about Harry. He's a fockin' genius. Don't believe me? Listen to his Le Show.

The man who immortalized the phrase "I'm a fockin' genius" in a murderously good parody of John Lennon is also an irregular (and possibly abnormal) Huffington Post contributor. Tony Hendra was long ago editor-in-chief of the National Lampoon. Say no more.

Walter Cronkite contributed a blog entry titled Telling the Truth About the War on Drugs. Be afraid, Washington Post, be very afraid.

Do you think that Katie Couric will tell the truth at CBS News?

stop the premium bandwidth spew

Add the Save the Internet blog to your blogroll. A battle is brewing in the U.S. Senate.

Net neutrality will spare our favorite web content from being totally submerged beneath a gigantic raging torrent of "premium" bandwidth spew.

here's one for mother

Any one of these photos are suitable for a Mother's Day card. Dr. Lynn Rogers befriended a wild black bear and her cubs in Minnesota.
