Jane Hawley played with Jr. during their big band tour, back around 1990, when, in addition to the basic guitar/bass/drums, they also had Jane on violin and backing vocals, Ford on keyboards, and Chris on pedal steel. Jane's first appearance on a Jr. album came as a guest artist on Simple Little Wish. Her solo album presents a variety of country and folk styles, well written and played. There's also an occasional jazzy touch. Be sure to get the CD, because the cassette lacks the last three songs.

Jane has worked as a solo artist and as a member of a group called Beautiful Joe. Her second album was released in 1996.
