woodstock.30: Woodstock moments woodstock.30.0: David Gans (tnf) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:59 28, 4 of 4: Dan Levy on site (wstock5) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:36 12 In a definite Woodstock moment, as we were making the trek at about 1 a.m. to the campsite last night, my friends and I came upon Michael Lang, one of the organizers of Woodstocks I and II. He was very friendly and mellow, and kind of acknowledged that we were clearly experiencing more hassle than we should have been. So far, so cool. woodstock.30.1: otis (nycjag) Fri 12 Aug 94 12:02 This whole conference is wiping me out! AM i overracting or is this just amazing? woodstock.30.2: Mad Hatter (airman) Fri 12 Aug 94 12:15 Just dont eat all the oxygen. There's more on the way. woodstock.30.3: David Gans (tnf) Fri 12 Aug 94 13:05 CNN shot of a naked guy ion a lawn chair explaining that he came to Woodstock to get his life back together. "And it's back together now, man!" woodstock.30.4: duo (wstock5) Fri 12 Aug 94 13:08 Have you ever been herded into a fenced in area like cattle and had a new flavor of trident gum thrown at you ? If not, you haven't been to Woodstock 94'. Have you ever paid 2 dollers for a water with some lemon in it ? If not pay the 135 and come to Woodstock. Have you ever waited a half hour to see a comercial for CD-I ? If not, you know where to go. We'll see you here ! ? woodstock.30.5: otis (nycjag) Fri 12 Aug 94 13:16 tnf, that is just too funny! woodstock.30.6: kuz (wstock2) Fri 12 Aug 94 13:17 I'm from Jersey and on the way up to N.Y. we realized we didn't have the directions. So we asked the car next to us if we could have theirs. When my friend Jim was hanging out the window the other car held up a loaf of bread.he responds..."NO. I HAVE BREAD. pretty funny , huh?we got the directions. woodstock.30.7: (ernie) Fri 12 Aug 94 14:34 :)# woodstock.30.8: gopod for a day (jbk) Fri 12 Aug 94 16:37 All this time I been lookin' for the purpose in life - and it's . . . sitting naked in a lawn chair? Damn - wish somebody'd told me sooner! woodstock.30.9: (ernie) Fri 12 Aug 94 16:47 Not too late duude--whole weekend lies ahead! woodstock.30.10: Bean (wstock2) Fri 12 Aug 94 21:12 Whoa. I figured it out... if you go around the entire sight and come up the back, you'll be alot closer to the stage. Better than standing forzen by the (frozen- because of all the people) infront of the food stands half a mile away from the stage. People are getting so pissed at the setup paths and walkways that they are cutting their own entrances through the fencing. (Heavens no, choas?) !bean / woodstock.30.11: brenda caron (wstock4) Sat 13 Aug 94 10:12 I have never seen so many tents and people in one area. The bathrooms suck and the water set up is making a path of mud, that sucks. I have not yet seen any bands play yet. Can't wait to use my bathroom back home. All I can say, is thank-you God for such nice weather. HI John! woodstock.30.12: flonyc (wstock3) Sat 13 Aug 94 20:17 aug 13 Today I must have seen 30 " show me your tits." signs . woodstock.30.13: kelmeister (wstock2) Sun 14 Aug 94 10:02 well, despite the heinous (sp?) weather conditions, i think it was not an experience to be missed. Our tent neighbors were cool, actually everyone i have met has been cool. nothing bad but the rain... i have mud in places i didn't know i had. better luck with the weather in 2019!!! hi, mom!! woodstock.30.14: yugen (wstock3) Sun 14 Aug 94 10:30 Another smiley face: Woodstock moment: kid with nothing on but some green and orange paint on his face came up to me and my friend and said: "My tent used to be here. Now I have no tent, no food, no money and no clothes!" Then he started cheering on Metallica. Woodstock moment #2: Besides the guys mud surfing down the big hill by South Stage, peoplein their tents were cheering on the ones who couldn't make it up the hillon the east side from the South Stage concessions to that village thing in the middle. Most people have been really wonderful. woodstock.30.15: editorial comment (green) Sun 14 Aug 94 11:24 thanks yugen woodstock.30.16: me!!!! Flea told everyone to take their shirts off and twirl them and practically everyone did. Lost a contact lens in the melee. As I was leaving Peter gabriel's candles were being lit crowd-wide for Rwanda. It was the best birthday cake ever (I turned 26 today, Aug 14, the last day of Woodstock!) woodstock.30.18: [35m[5mfar out[0m (flanagan) Sun 14 Aug 94 23:41 cool!!! woodstock.30.19: Has Hendrix Played Yet? (mglito) Mon 15 Aug 94 00:27 Awesome! woodstock.30.20: We must be in HEAVEN, man! (tnf) Mon 15 Aug 94 09:07 Great moment, Miko! woodstock.30.21: well's cargo (dlee) Mon 15 Aug 94 09:42 Hey, great, Miko! I loved the shirt-twirling thing! Flea was great: "You might think this sounds like a dumb idea, but it will look really cool!" And he was right! I really liked the whole Chili Peppers vibe--good energy there. Wish I liked their music as much! ;-)
