A two years old and roughly as cultured as scotch of the same age production

The author started AJ's Deep Space in early 2000, as part of his community service after being convicted by a federal judge of smuggling a herring into the country for immoral purposes. He has since served the period of time required by the state, but continues to maintain the site anyway -- partly because he can't figure out how to delete it, and partly because he licensed the original logo to a multinational sportswear company, and they required as a condition of their contract that the brand continue to maintain a presence on the web (the sneaker people are not to be messed with; if you learn this simple lesson, you may go far in this world).

The author actually started as a web designer in 1995, when the web was still generated using cold type, on presses driven by water wheels. In homage to that bygone era, all the pages of AJ's Deep Space are still printed only on rag paper, and routed through 9600 bps lines whenever possible. And although the <blink> tag has since been declared an export-controlled munition, illegal to own, distribute, or display without a license, thus restricting him from bringing you pages which tastefully blink their entire text in perfect, epilepsy-inducing synchrony, he assures you: in memory of the glorious past of this medium, he would if he could. Honest. He's that authentic.

However, in proper tribute to that era, AJ's Deep Space does still operate in the true early web ethic: the author puts here whatever he bloody well feels like, whenever the feeling takes him. He'll know he's got it right when Mirsky's Worst of the Web reincarnates itself, just to mock this site appropriately.
