Thanks for checking this page out.  Listed on this page are some things I will and will not do as a matter of custom unless you tell me otherwise.

Information about B&Ps is at the bottom of the page.

ANALOG STANDARDS

BY DEFAULT I WILL:
*Use Maxell XLII or XLII-S
*Send analog tapes without boxes, but with labels and J-cards.
*Send via priority mail for trades of 5 tapes or more, and First Class for less than 5 tapes.
*Tape your show from the best source I have, DAT, CD or analog.
*Write the setlist on a piece of paper other than the J-card.
*Send your tapes out in a timely manner, usually within three to five days.
*Send you all the information I have, including setlist, gen. and source info, mics, etc, whenever I have it.

I'm VERY flexible on all of this, so if you want a different brand of tapes or want boxes sent, fine by me, just let me know.

I WILL NEVER:
*Dub high-speed.
*Use Dolby.
*Record your tapes on anything but brand new cassettes straight out of the wrapper.
*Tape or otherwise bind your cassettes together with anything other than rubber bands.
*Affix the labels to your tapes, although I don't really mind if you affix the labels to mine.
*Send in anything but a bubble-wrap envelope; no sawdust envelopes, please!
*Rip you off.  If you rip me off, I will go to ridiculous levels to make you pay, including filing a complaint under the federal Mail Fraud Statute (18 U.S.C. §1341) and possibly a claim for breach of contract.

HERE IS SOME SPECIFIC INFO ON THE WAY I MAKE TAPES.  I DON'T REALLY CARE IF MY TAPES ARE MADE LIKE THIS, BUT I'M GONNA DO THIS UNLESS YOU TELL ME:

110s: I use them, so if you have a problem with that, please let me know and I will avoid them for our trade.

FILLER: I generally won't put filler on tapes, unless a selection is only one side, in which case I will always put something on the B side.  If you want filler, just ask and I'll be happy to stick some on (of course, many of my tapes already have filler on them).  I don't care if you put filler on the tapes you make for me, but if you do, please don't put any on the first side.

J-CARDS: I don't use the manufactured J-cards and don't care if you send them or not.  For this reason, I don't mind if you write the setlist on my J-card.  Because I don't use them, I will always send them to you.  If you use them and need extras, keep yours and you can have mine, too.

SETLIST INFO: On a small portion of my non-dead tapes I don't have setlist information.  For a few others, I have no indication of where the flip on the tape is.  For some of these tapes I am not familiar enough with the artist to provide any of this information by listening to the tape.  Obviously, I can't give you what I don't have myself, but I will give you complete information wherever I have it.

LETTING YOU KNOW WHEN I GET OR SEND:  I won't generally inform you when I receive your tapes or when I send them out, although I will try and be in close contact if there are any problems with what you've requested or another reason exists for me to contact you.  If you really want me to send you a note when I get or send, let me know, although it is real hard to keep track of who wants to be told what, and I can't guarantee I'll remember.  I will usually give you a reasonably accurate shipping date when we set up the trade .

FLIPS DURING SONGS:  I don't use auto-reverse, but some of my analogs do flip in the middle of songs.  If I'm taping for you from a DAT, I will try to avoid flipping in the middle of a song, (D/S not included, of course), unless it's necessary for the recording to fit on the tape and a longer tape can't be used.  But please understand that tapes with bad cuts and flips are a fact of life, and there is probably as much of a chance that you will get such a tape from me as anyone else, because I have received my share!

PACKING TAPES: l'll always REW and FF DATs, but will do so for analogs only if you ask .

IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS:   Mistakes happen, but if you have any problems with your tapes, let me know and I will fix it!

CD STANDARDS

SOME QUICK NOTES:
*I will record DAO.  If you are sending TAO, please advise beforehand.
*I will write the setlist and other information on a separate sheet of paper and never write on the discs.
*I will send First Class, one disc per paper or plastic sleeve, usually within three to five days.
*I will not use mp3s or CDs made from non-digital sources, except where such sources represent all that is available (e.g. pre-digital era bootlegs).
*Send you all the information I have, including setlist, source info, mics, etc, whenever I have it.
*Brand/product will depend largely on what is available locally, but I will use only HQ discs.  If you have a brand preference or there is a particular brand you do not want me to use, let me know.
*I won't put filler on discs generally, unless you tell me otherwise.

B&Ps

WANT A B&P?  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS PARAGRAPH!

I can usually do B&Ps, but please talk to me first before sending any blanks.   If we do agree on a B&P, please include the proper postage affixed to a fully addressed return bubble envelope, so all I have to do is spin 'em and drop them back in the mailbox.   Please do not send me cash!  Of course, trades take priority over B&Ps as far as the rotation goes, but that's not usually too big of a problem.

Please include a list of what you want, even if you emailed me a list when you first contacted me; I will often have already deleted your email by the time your blanks arrive.  If youre requesting an analog B&P, it's not a bad idea to throw a couple of 100s or even a 110 or two in if you know that what you are requesting may be longer than 90 minutes long (or feel free to ask in advance).  Please do not send Type-I tapes.
