Book II of The Harmony of The World (published in 1619 by Johannes Kepler) is subtitled "On the Congruence of Harmonic Figures." It features mathematical definitions, propositions, conclusions, and beautiful diagrams created by Kepler to illustrate his ideas about the essential nature of regular figures. The edition of The Harmony of The World that I consulted was published in 1967 as volume 209 in the Memoirs of the American Philosophical Society held at Philadelphia for Promoting Useful Knowledge. |
