According to station officials, Hurricane exits Urban/WJFX (107.9fm, New Haven) where he was Production Director & did overnights.
Religious/WLAB (88.3fm, Fort Wayne) adds Mark Mellinger as morning show co-host. Mellinger is also weekend news anchor at
LIN Broadcasting owned WANE (Channel 15, Fort Wayne [CBS]).
Kelly Turner arrives to produce Dave Macy's morning show at News-Talk/WOWO (1190am, Fort Wayne).
According to a release, Homestead High School station WCYT (91.1fm, Lafayette Township) headed off to an encore performance
at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. On May 14, you could have heard station DJ's on the air live from the
Hall's 5th floor studio from 10am - 3pm. Congratulations to Radio Director Joe Asher, Station Manager John Zeider, and all
the hard working DJ's over at "The Point."
Also at WCYT, Dave Studinski (weekday mornings) and Andy McKeeman (Friday afternoons) will collaborate as Music Director's
for the next two years.
Northcentral
Thomas Garry is new to duties as President/Midwest Region for Citadel Communications. According to a company press release,
He'll be handling Citadel's properties in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Here, he'll be responsible for
News-Talk/WMDH(AM) & Country/WMDH-FM (1550am, 102.5fm; both New Castle), and Country/WWKI (100.5fm, Kokomo).
Northwest
According to Robert Feder's column in The Chicago Sun-Times, George Castle's syndicated baseball program "Diamond
Gems" is added by News-Talk/WIMS (1420am, Michigan City) & MOR/WJOB (1230am, Hammond).
Central
Religious/WJCF (88.1fm, Morristown) gets more of an audience than it ever intended. According to Mike Fender's article in
The Indianapolis Star, WJCF's broadcasts bleed over to audio from local TV station WRTV (Channel 6, Indianapolis

A reader has stumped us. He wants to what the format of the old WXTZ was (93.9fm; what's now WGRL). He wonders if it was
more classical or beautiful music. If anyone can shed some light, do let us know.
