Station History
Call letters mean "Banks Of [the] Wabash [river]". WBOW resided on 640am until Thursday 4 October
2001, when the FCC shut it down, having revoked the licenses in 1998. The FCC took this action
because President Michael Rice was conviced of twelve felonies involving sexual assult of children
and subsequently jailed. For information on the former WBOW, Click Here.
WBOW-FM emerged from the former WLEZ. Bomar
Broadcasting sold WLEZ in 2003 to Crossroads Communications, Inc..
WBOW-FM changed formats from Soft AC to Hot AC on 18 July 2005.
