Station History

WBWB signed on in July 17, 1978. In April, 1999 Richard "Randy" Lloyd died in an apartment fire. Lloyd, 54, did afternoons at WBWB and had been at the station for 20 of the station's first 21 years. In April, 2004, WBWB changed formats from Hot AC to CHR as "B-97."
