Station History

On April 25, 1949, the station signed on the air as the first 10-watt educational station licensed by the FCC. The station was created through the vision of DePauw professors Herold Ross and Elizabeth Turnell. Today, the station involves over 200 students each semester and broadcasts 24 hours a day while DePauw is in session. The station has been consistently ranked among the nation's top 10 college radio stations by The Princeton Review.
