Station History

102.7fm signed on September 11, 1962. WPFR-FM was previously on 102.7fm as a CHR. They went dark in 1989 or 1990. 102.7fm returned as Soft AC WLEZ in 1993. In 2003, Bomar Broadcasting sold WLEZ to Crossroads Communications, Inc.. The call letters were then changed to WBOW-FM.
