Station History

WMRI(AM): 860am signed on May 11, 1955. Formerly WGOM. WMRI-AM debuted with Standards, using Jones' "Music of Your Life" satellite service in December, 2005. The former WGOM call letters disappeared on February 14, 2006. WMRI changed format from Standards to Southern Gospel on June 1, 2009. Mid-America Radio Group, Inc. sold WBAT to Vox Communications.

WMRI-FM: 106.9fm signed on December 19, 1948. WMRI-FM was a Beautiful Music station. WMRI-FM is now classic hits as WXXC.
