Station History

1380am signed on November 15, 1947. Previous Call Letters: WKJG, WMEE(AM), WQHK(AM), and WHWD.

The station changed formats from Adult Standards to Sports on 1 September 1998. In November 1999, WHWD's call letters changed to WONO; those calls were derived from their satellite network ("One-On-One-Sports"). WONO drops One-on-One affiliation in August 2000 and picks up ESPN. Their new moniker is "ESPN Radio 1380." - calls remain the same. On Monday November 3, 2003 at 6:00pm, WONO changed calls to WKJG.
