Station History

100.5fm signed on October 21, 1962. WWKI was purchased in November 1998 from Wicks Broadcasting Group as a part of a 16 station deal for $77 million. That sale included sister stations WMDH(AM) & FM. Investment firm Forstmann Little & Co. purchased Citadel in January 2001 for $1 billion, plus debt.
