100.9fm signed on May 28, 1967. WYJZ signed on with a jazz format on Monday June 15, 1998. The stations were sold to
Radio One, Inc. in March 2000. WYJZ and its smooth jazz format ended on
Wednesday October 10, 2007, as Radio One, Inc. purchased the intellectual property
of CHR-formatted "Radio Now" (format/moniker) from Emmis Communications Corp. "Radio
Now 100.9" debuted Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 4:30PM. 100.9fm is now known as WNOU.
