Editor’s Note
Chandrasekhar sent me the materials for this book at the same time that he sent the excerpts for his second book (Stopped in our Tracks – Second Series). Although they are continuous diaries of his travels abroad to visit UG in Palm Springs, California, USA and Gstaad, Switzerland in the years 1998 and 1999, they too are distinguished by the same kind of accounts of UG’s encounters with people and self-reflections. In addition, they contain his impressions of the environs of the places he visits. The reader cannot but share his joys and sorrows as well as his frustrations in relating to UG.
