My Hedgehogs

Kerbi

(Kerbi died in April 2001 from aspiration pneumonia, but I know he is still watching over Pike, myself, and this site.)
Hi. My name is Kerbi. I'm a African Pygmy hedgehog, a species that's very friendly and makes a good pet. (If I do say so myself) That's me in the pictures up top. I'm the hedgehog on the LEFT! To see a bigger version of my photo, click on it with your right mouse button and select view image.  I'm cute! Here's a description of myself. I'm about the size of an adult's cupped hand. I'm a  Brown Snowflake. (Fancy, huh?) That means 30% to 70% of my spines are white. The remainder are white banded with oak brown. For a more complete description of colors, see the hedgehog registry site in the links below.

Some Of My Traits

 Angel

(Sadly, Angel passed away in spring 2001, but she would have wanted me to leave this up)
Hi. I'm Angel. I'm an Algerian hedgehog, which is almost the same as an African Pygmy Hedgehog. That's me on the RIGHT in the photos! to see a bigger version of a photo click on it with your right mouse button and select view image. I'm about the size of a 12 year old's two cupped hands. I have about 50% white quills and the rest are banded with medium brown. I have a very light face mask.

Some Of My Traits

Pike

Hello! I'm Pike, another African Pygmy hedgehog. My photo is also up on the Hedgerow Hoglets page, along with some photos of my kids, Tyrone, Pemur, and Lessa. I'm very big. I barely fit in an adult's cupped hands, especially when I wiggle. Personally, I'd rather not be a pet, but people are okay I guess. Kerbi told me he felt the same way once, but I can't imagine it! He loved people. Here are a few of my traits.

Trinity

Hey! I'm Trinity, an African Pygmy Hedgehog. I sure don't seem like a pygmy though-- I'm big! Mommy says I need to lose some weight. Some of my tummy spills out of an adult's cupped hands when they hold me. I'm the newest addition to the Hedgerow. I lived for my first two years with a girl named Cheryl, but she couldn't keep me anymore. Mommy says she didn't have time for me. So, I came to live here, and I'm getting used to it pretty fast.

Some of My Traits:

Angel crossed the Rainbow Bridge in spring 2001, and Kerbi passed away in April 2002. They were the inspiration for this webpage, and will never be forgotten. Pike and I will carry on, as I struggle with the challenge of taming her, the wildest hedgehog I've ever met.
