The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is preparing to expand Capital Bikeshare throughout the District and is hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, May 25 to solicit input from the community on the proposed locations for 25 new stations.
Gallaudet University has been in negotiations with DDOT to secure a station for its campus. If successful, it will be the first public bike station on a college campus in the country! Your participation at Wednesday's hearing is crucial to show DDOT our support for our station!
The station will add to the growing buzz surrounding Gallaudet's campus and the new farmer's market on 6th Street. With our new station, we will be able to improve our public transportation options, reduce our carbon footprint and, of course, allow for a healthier lifestyle for everyone on campus.
