Welcome to the Web Site of Leslie Jackson
Winter, 2011

This March, I will join Ianto Evans and 6 or 7 other rocket stove/mass heater builders in Oregon for a stove-building jam session: Look for the same old good book with a few overhauls in the 4th edition, coming soon!
Visit Rocket Stoves for more stove stuff.

There is a recent email response to a question that you, too, may have about how to get into natural buiding by putting something "of no consequece" in your backyard at Natural Building.

I have just completed a very fun project called 25 Years—25 Stories" for Affordable Comfort, Inc., or ACI for short. They see housing as a BIG influence on energy (since many of us live in dwellings and since dwellings are a big slice of the energy pie). So they bring people together from all over the US and Canada from all angles of the housing industry like HVAC and insulation contractors, and utility policy people and lightbulb salesmen and green collar job trainers. The results are these deep friendships and cross-pollination for sometimes disagreeing groups.

My gig for them was to interview 18 of 25 heroes of the conferences. Have a look. These people are all heart. More gigs like this!

Please visit Jack's Picks for an ongoing, opinionated list of what is Up. This was updated recently with news of two articles I just wrote for Home Energy on the rebuilding efforts in Haiti.

The Turtle House images are back up! A back-yard remodel of a sea creature. An Adventure.
