Remembering Zion
Earlier in the year, waterfalls are abundant, but in late May things have
dried up to a trickle.
The waterfall between the upper and lower Emerald Pools.
At the upper pool, blue-green frogs cluster by the edge of the
shallow, muddy water.
Columbines cling to a sheer, rock cliff alongside the Virgin River.
One afternoon we took a drive to Kolob Canyons, which are in the
northeast section of Zion. Kolob had its own stark beauty.
