

I took this photograph of Joseph Rael for the Santa Fe Sun newspaper, it was not published.
Joseph is one of the few Native American medicine men willing to work with white people, and used to
regularly leads sweat lodges, and other ceremonies he has received through personal visions. He has since retired from this work.
He has been doing ceremonies that have come to him through his visions since he was 13 years old. The
Elders of the Tribes would ask him for ceremonies at that time because of those visionary
experiences.
And, also as a result of his visions, 45 peace chambers have been constructed arround the world.
He is the author of several books:
