Mike McDonald is a singer/songwriter/guitarist in Edmonton, Alberta. Over the years he's played a wide variety of music with an equally wide variety of bands and musicians, from punk rock to folk to country to music that combines a bit of each. He's also collaborated on some musical theatre productions.
After a couple years with a punk band he joined in high school, Mike started Jr. Gone Wild, which released a number of well-received albums. After that ended, he went back to the basics with a trio called the Mike McDonald Band, but ultimately found that unsatisfying. The current version of the Mike McDonald Band is a larger combo with a bigger sound. Over the years, he's also played with such other bands as Agent Bumbo, Hookahman, the Bodkins, and more.
