Elements Of Magic
It's elemental
. with the art of magic, we deepen our vision and focus our will, empowering ourselves to act in the world. In this class we develop the practice of Magic, Witchcraft, and Goddess spirituality by working with the Elements of Magic: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit in the tradition of Starhawk and the Reclaiming Collective.
Witchcraft is a growing tradition in our culture today. It is a call from and to the ancient Goddess and Her immanence. It is a call to know ourselves in all of our parts, so that we can create the magic that transforms all worlds. These worlds full of desire, beauty, love and grace surround us, but the cultures of domination and control keep them invisible.
Students will learn & refine techniques such as creating magical space, spellcraft, chanting, trance, energy work, and structuring rituals in an experiential format. The concept of the triple self and its importance in magic will be introduced. Once aligned, we will open all of our selves to the beauty and love around us, creating rituals and practices that heal and bless.

About the Teachers:
Wren:
Wren is a hard-nosed rational scientist who rediscovered and reclaimed her magical side in 1999, and happily found a spiritual home in the Reclaiming tradition. She has attended nine Spiral Heart witchcamps and numerous Reclaiming-related courses and workshops, is active in our local Dragon’s Cauldron, and continues study, daily practice and teaching based on Reclaiming and Feri traditions.
A grandmother, botanist, singer, logophile, and member of an intentional community, Wren likes to commune with the green realm and the beings of the forest, create places where Mystery can enter on her land and in her home, and do magic with fellow Witches.
Birch
Birch is a queer witch who has been teaching/priesting in the Reclaiming tradition for over nine years and recently completed his Reclaiming Initiation.
He has taught at Reclaiming witchcamps up and down the east coast, and other Reclaiming classes throughout the southeast and at his home in North Carolina. His current work focuses on using magical principles as a way of developing community and community leaders, the healing power available to humans in the natural realms, and opening to the divine.
Birch relishes his hermit side and practices shamatha-vipashyana meditation regularly. He is a devotee of the tarot, and has been working with White Tara, the green dragon of peace and healing, and Brigid. In the past couple of years, he has been spinning and knitting magic.
