Attention, good folk, ladies and gentlemen, and all who visit these ethereal web pages. I am delighted and privileged to tell you that we have a rare visit this week from the Page of Wands. Only once before has this fiery magical youth visited us here. That was three years ago, at this exact time, just following Beltane, in May of 2005.
So without further ado, let’s give a warm welcome to the Page of Wands, who I believe has some important announcements for us:
Ahem! You, there. Yes, I'm talking to you. And you, too!
When did you turn into such a grumpy old grownup?
Lighten up, babycakes! It's time to laugh, sing, paint, sculpt, dance. Life won’t wait.
Drop those sad old worry habits you've picked up. Turn off that pressure cooker you’ve thrown your life into. Unplug yourself from that depressing TV. Wave bye-bye to those stifling, annoying people and situations you’ve gotten so entangled with.
It’s really very simple. Get outside, take a walk on the sunny side. The wild side.
Just for this week, what if you played hooky at least a little while each and every day? There is something (or someone) whose passionate, siren call is singing your tune. Answer! Answer with all your heart.
Get silly. I am your permission slip to duck out the door and go play to your heart’s content. Buy yourself a box of crayons and a big pad of paper and go to town! Nurture your playful, magical child self. Go make some babies of your own! Maybe human children, or maybe those creative dreams you’ve longed for.
What feeds the flames of your desire? What joyful news have you waited for so long to hear? I’m here to tell you that now is the time, this is it. The delights you’ve secretly longed for, ached for – they are in your grasp now. This week.
Freedom and creativity are yours. And they are no accident or by someone else's permission, dearie! They are your most holy and sacred birthright.
