Are you sure that's the little CoffeeNet in SF tucked away on Harrison
Street, Erik?

Nice event last night all around,an lot of elite folks in terms of having
walked the walk online in the early years, but it is a simple little coffee
bar with some computer terminals. I am astonished if they advertise in a
national publication.

Cool people running the place.

3. 10-WEEK COURSE ON BUDDHISM & AMERICAN POETRY: RECLAIMING THE SACRED -
JAN.26-MARCH 31, 6:30-8:30 P.M.
Religion and poetry are two words for one thing. Poetry and Buddhism give us
access to greater intimacy with life, its authenticity, its genuineness,
here and now. And the spread of Buddhism in America has been born on wings
of poetry - from Thoreau to Rexroth, Ginsberg to Naropa, and beyond. We
will explore this evolving tradition, its Buddhist roots and its American
roots, on through the Transcendentalists, the Modernists, the Beats, the
postModernists, etc., including forms and feelings, moods and modes, issues
and themes.

This is a rather long post about folks from a great indie publishing
house, Akashic Books, reading at a great indie book festival, Fringe
INK, in New York this week and next. It has information on other
authors as well.
