Meier, like his father, was a Horse Dealer by trade. He lived in Lich. He died in the surgical university hospital in Giessen, on August 11th, 1931 at a quarter to nine.
His death was sudden as the result of a car accident. The following is a synopsys of a translation of an article in the Jewish newspaper recording Meier's passing: "There was a big congregation at this funeral of many religious........ Meier had been very popular and had gained a high reputation
for his integrity and honesty, and his loyalty to the Jewish religion. Meier Bing leaves behind a wife and two children."
